The focus of the second day is on the create model and validation phase. Real-world examples are used to provide important considerations leading to successful creation and validation of an AI-solution. These examples cover different AI-techniques and hence different challenges and roadblocks.

Prof. Jansen is ENT-surgeon at the LUMC. He uses AI to improve shared decision making with skull base tumor patients.
Dr. M. Bauer
Dr. Bauer is a medical specialist at the Internal Medicine department of the Leiden University Medical Center. He is leading an AI project that focuses on reducing the administrative burden for doctors with a so-called digital scribe.
Prof. dr. D.E. Atsma
Prof. Atsma is a professor at the Cardiology department of the LUMC. He has a focus on generative medicine and the development and implementation of eHealth applications. He is director of the National eHealth Living Lab (NeLL). He is leading an AI project on telemonitoring.
Further work on the use-case of day 1. The assignment focuses on the validation phase. There is a lunch from 11:35 – 12:20. At the end of the day, participants present a plan to validate their AI-solution.
